Located at 10 E. 5th St., Glass Growers Gallery and Gifts is just a stone’s throw from the Erie Art Museum and is an essential part of the downtown Erie experience. Not only does the gallery feature jewelry, textiles, wood, glass, pottery, and more, the colorful and welcoming shop serves the community with a space for local art, creativity, and passion. Relish
Just like the beach glass used in their jewelry, Relish is a true “gem” of the art community in Erie, Pennsylvania. Located at 3835 W. 12th St., Relish is a woman-owned business that transforms the beautiful beach glass from Presque Isle into handmade art and gifts. The best part? Presque Isle Gallery and Gifts
Located near Waldameer at 301 Peninsula Dr., the Tom Ridge Environmental Center educates all who enter about Presque Isle and its wildlife. The center features a 75-foot observation tower and 7,000 square feet of exhibits, amongst many other attractions. When visitors have learned everything about our state park, they can stop at the Presque Isle Gallery and Gift shop located within the Center. Featuring many local artists (plus our work!), guests are able to bring home pieces of the “greatest of lakes”!
Edinboro Market
Located at 211 Mill St. in Edinboro, Pennsylvania the Edinboro Market is a mainstay of shopping local in Edinboro and Erie. The market, founded by Marti Martz and Curtis Hals, features quality food that is made or grown within 150 miles of Edinboro. Once shoppers are done picking up food for their weekly meals, they can browse the locally-made artisan items, jewelry and gifts that highlight Edinboro and Erie. The 1020 Collective
Located at 1020 Holland St. in downtown Erie, The 1020 Collective is tucked away, but incredibly prolific. In its industrial brick building with beautiful murals, 1020 provides a safe space for all types of art. You’ll find thrilling exhibitions here, along with film screenings, a record shop, packed vendor markets, and much more. Simply put, you can’t be an active supporter of Erie Arts without stopping by 1020.
Moose Head Pottery
Located at 8270 Peach St., Moose Head Pottery flips what you think about traditional ceramics on its head. Known for their unique glazes and awesome growlers, you’ll want to drive past Splash Lagoon and visit. As of this post, they were celebrating America 250 with a couple new items, and speaking of patriotic items, you can explore their growlers for each military branch. Sammi’s Heartfelt Treasures
Located at 25 W. 9th St., Sammi’s Heartfelt Treasures offers handmade artisan goods and a “hello” from their therapy bunny, Bun Bun. Featuring over 70 local artists and crafters, Sammi’s is a one-stop shopping experience for local art, gifts, and more. Grounded Printshop
Located at 1902 Cherry St. in the historic Little Italy neighborhood, Grounded Printshop is dedicated to the craft of handmade artisan goods. They are currently home to 16 working artist studios, which are rented by local creative businesses. They host classes in the space, such as “Intro to Papermaking,” they hold vendor markets, and they also have an open studio experience. Recently, they added Stitches of Erie to their Grounded family, which provides supplies and classes for yarn crafts and needlework!
FEED MEDIA ART CENTER
Located at 1307 State St., FEED Media Art Center is part art gallery, part artist incubator, part music venue, and much more. It’s an incredible space filled with captivating art, both from national and internationally-known creators. The Erie Art Company
While not a traditional shop, the Erie Art Company believes “everybody is an artist” and is absolutely worth mentioning in this piece. This organization strives to uplift the community by empowering established and aspiring artists within Erie, Pennsylvania by hosting immersive art experiences, curating galleries, and more.
